Product Description
The GE Drive Control Board DS200SDCCG5A is the primary controller for the drive. The GE Drive Control Board DS200SDCCG5A is populated with 3 microprocessors and RAM that can be accessed by multiple microprocessors at the same time. The microprocessors are assigned a specific task involved in the drive control processing. The microprocessors have installed on them the firmware and hardware required to perform the tasks. For example, one microprocessor is equipped with the processing functionality to perform the math calculations involved in co-motor control functions.

The board features five EPROM connectors for storing configuration software. Four of the EPROM modules store configuration parameters that are assigned in the factory. The one remaining EPROM module stores configuration parameters that are assigned by the user or servicer. The GE Drive Control Board DS200SDCCG5A is populated with the EPROM connectors but you must use the EPROM modules from the old board. The modules from the old board already contain all the configuration data you need so you can quickly bring the drive back online.

The board also contains the connectors and standoffs to connect to auxiliary cards that are available. You can attach the cards with screws inserted in the standoffs, then connect a cable from the auxiliary card to the board. The cards enable you to connect to a local area network, or add to the signal processing capabilities of the board.

The board contains jumpers that are set to configure the board. The jumpers are set at the factory and none of them should be moved to change the behavior of the board.
